Organizations

Quick Access: Organizations | Connection Pools

Organizations in LangMart enable teams to collaborate on AI model access, share resources, and manage usage centrally.

What are Organizations?

An organization is a workspace where multiple users can work together with shared access to AI models. Organizations provide:

  • Shared Model Access: All members can access models configured for the organization
  • Centralized Billing: Organizations can fund model usage for their members
  • Usage Tracking: Monitor and control how team members use AI models
  • Role-Based Permissions: Control who can manage settings, invite members, and view billing

Organization Types

LangMart supports two main organization types based on how they use the platform:

Consumer Organizations

For teams that use AI models together

  • Internal teams, departments, or projects
  • Members collaborate on shared AI resources
  • Focus on consuming AI services
  • Typical size: 5-50 members

Examples: Engineering teams, research groups, startup teams

Inference Providers

For organizations that provide AI services to their members

  • Cloud providers, enterprise IT, research institutions
  • Members are customers/users who consume services
  • Focus on providing and managing AI access
  • Can scale to hundreds or thousands of members

Examples: GPU cloud providers, university IT departments, enterprise AI platforms

Individual vs Team Usage

Individual Usage

When using LangMart individually:

  • You manage your own API keys and connections
  • You are responsible for your own billing and credits
  • Model access is limited to what you configure yourself
  • Suitable for personal projects or independent work

Team Usage (Organizations)

When working within an organization:

  • Access models that the organization has made available
  • Organization may cover usage costs (org-pays models)
  • Shared connections reduce configuration overhead
  • Usage is tracked and may have spending limits
  • Administrators manage access and billing

Organization Model Types

Organization-Funded Models (Org Pays)

  • Organization covers the cost of model usage
  • Free for members to use
  • May have usage limits to control costs
  • Ideal for team-wide tools and approved workflows

Member-Funded Models (Member Pays)

  • Members pay for their own usage
  • Billed to the member's personal credits
  • Organization provides access but not payment
  • Suitable for optional or experimental models
