Quick Access: Open Chat | Chat Simple

LangMart provides multiple ways to interact with AI models through its chat interface. Whether you need a simple conversation, want to leverage powerful tools, or prefer a lightweight experience, LangMart has you covered.

Chat Modes

LangMart offers three distinct chat modes to fit different use cases:

1. Direct Chat

The standard chat experience for conversations with AI models. Direct Chat connects you immediately to your selected model without additional setup.

• Users who want immediate responses
• Basic tasks without tool requirements

2. Remote Chat with Tools

An enhanced chat experience that gives the AI access to powerful tools like web search, code execution, file operations, and more.

Switching Between Modes

You can switch between chat modes in several ways:

From the Chat Page

1. Navigate to the Chat page from the sidebar
2. Look for the Gateway Selector in the chat toolbar
3. Select your preferred gateway:
   • Direct - For direct chat without tools
   • Remote Gateway - For remote chat with tools enabled

From the Global Chat Overlay

The global chat overlay is available throughout the platform:

1. Click the chat bubble icon in the bottom-right corner
2. The overlay appears with your current chat session
3. Use the gateway selector to switch modes
4. Expand or collapse the overlay as needed

The chat toolbar provides quick access to common actions:

• New Chat - Start a fresh conversation
• Model Selector - Click to choose a different model
• Tools Toggle - Enable/disable tool access
• Expand/Collapse - Toggle full-screen mode
• History Panel - Show/hide session list
• Request Logs - View API request details

Session Management

LangMart automatically saves your chat sessions:

Viewing Past Sessions

1. Open the History panel on the left side
2. Browse through your previous conversations
3. Click any session to resume it
4. Sessions show:
   • Session name (auto-generated or custom)
   • Date and time
   • Message count
   • Session type indicator

Session Types

Sessions are marked with icons indicating their type:

• Direct Chat - Standard conversations
• Remote Chat - Sessions with tool access
• Automation - Script-based sessions

Managing Sessions

• Rename - Double-click a session name to edit
• Delete - Use selection mode to batch delete
• Filter - Filter by context or session type
